Topic: TV Jones Pickups

WOW!  I just finished this week my new Telecaster and I've got a TV Jones Powr'tron bridge pickup in it.  Nothing else.  This thing has the power of a PAF but the rudness of a P-90 on crack.  It's driving my poor blues Jr nuts.  I just want to recommend this pickup to people who are willing to work outside the box.  Nothing wrong with buying $300 PAF copies but if your tired of the same old thing try this.

Re: TV Jones Pickups

Cool!  so is it a "cabronita" build?  i love the tone of those PUP's courtesy of Rev. Willy G!

Re: TV Jones Pickups

Yeah it sure is.  I had to use a Strat neck though.  One of my older posts has pictures of it.  I got cheap after the pickup and used a stratocaster bridge plate I had.  It works the same as the expenisve Hipshot bridge I was going to get so when ever I do buy it I can use the existing holes no problem.  The pickup is fantastic even though I'm not using it correctly.  I have 250k pots and a .047 oil cap on it, they recommend 500k and a .022.
