Not sure if you know, but Slash was interviewed once and said that he's a huge Bonamassa fan. So that's pretty cool.

I really like his playing. When I first picked up Slash's Snake Pit it was immediately clear who the driving force behind G&R was, and where their sound came from.

Who cares about who's more technically this and that? Slash is a rock guitarist, and rock music is about energy and attitude and swagger. The music scene is full of technically brilliant guitarists who never see the light of day. The ones who do are the ones who connect with their audience on more of an emotional and visceral level.
