Topic: TS808 > TS9? Why?

So I was wondering why Joe prefers the TS808 over the TS9?

I've never really noticed a difference between the two pedals....

Anybody that has used them both know the details?

I have both, and like them both.

The 808 is more vintage sounding compared to the modern sound of the TS9.  And by that I mean the TSP is more aggressive sounding as is the 808 smother.  But they are very alike.

I prefer the 808 but wouldn't pitch a fit if I had to use the TS9

Thanks for the info bro!

Re: TS808 > TS9? Why?

Truth be told.... it boils down to the switch.   I like the on/ off switch better on.  The TS-9 switch is weird to me.... Again its just my preference.   I use the Maxon with the Lazy J twins. That sounds great!!     But the 808 reissue is killer.....  Worth the money.

A good link for some TS info. I'm not trying to plug anyone, but I do own several of his pedals and they are uniformly great to me.

Also if it was good enough for SRV its good enough for me.  That would be IMHO.
