This is more an India issue than a US issue. India has billions of people and has laws in place like this so they can keep jobs in India.
The US isn't the only country that likes to keep jobs. ...just looking at it from the other side.

This has nothing to do with India. If Gibson's workers were unionized the raids would never have happened.
For the record India has yet to bring this up. The feds took this out on their own. But rest assure now that the Feds have opened the box India bussiness men will take full advantage of a good thing. So to if this really is for political gain they've screwed their buddies that were contributing to their party because soon its going to happen to the Fenders, C.F. Martins, and PRS company's that buy from India when they inform them that they won't sell to them in 3 months when inventory is running low unless they buy a finished product.

Cessna closed their doors producing light aircraft from 1986-1998 when federal laws were changed that had hampered the company from producing light aircraft.
Gibson should do the same. Close US production until the laws are changed that allows them to operate unmolested by the government.
I'm so sick of this! If they are in the wrong tell them. Don't leave them in the dark for 2 years and raid them again. The feds don't seem to get it whats more important? 40 people in america working or 40 people in India working on these boards and devaluing an Industry standard? I've had about enough of C.F. Martin and Co. too! Great guitars by a bunch of unrealistic left wing values. The next guitar I purchase is going to say GIBSON on its head stock and I'm going to know that 100% of my freaking guitar was made by working class american MEN and WOMEN right here in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! I'm never going to give a Martin guitar another look after this!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh the verbal blues!!! Makes me feel fine! I know I'll get my turn at grumbling about something, significant or not, sooner or later. These spats are how we work things out at all levels.
So far spherically centered in the middle and so able to look to completely towards anyone's direction......

Most bad government comes from too much governmnet. Had never even heard of the environmental investigation agency prior to this. Just one more reason that american jobs are being sent offshore.
The rubes (even the high rolling power mongers type) of life don't change. The rules of life constantly change.
No "job" belongs to anyone or is for "only" somewhere.
A job is two-sided, a negotiation, and one's ( or both's) refusal is part of why one has not something, whether employer or employee, making money, saving money, losing money, or having no lack of or a total lack of money.
I'm not so good at dealing with anything bothersome either, but the childhood lesson is, set your mind on the lemonade and make a stand!

Early Friday evening while I was cooking dinner, FOX news did a segment on the Gibson Guitar raid. In addition to Gibson, they also discussed how Boeing is taking heat from the government for moving a factory from Washington (union) to South Carolina (non-union). I'm with Spider's opinion on this....
