Thanks for the link: amazon.de doesn´t have samples up to now. Sounds good but you would expect this from KWS. And he has a Yer Blues cover - Warren and Jeff Healy have covered it, too.

FINALLY! It better be great after making us wait this long.

Maybe Joe made a pact with KWS like " I'll cover for you buddy for a few years till you can write something new" lol
SOOOOOO looking forward to this!
It is about time. Looking forward as well.

Just got 3rd row seats for an October show! Looking forward to it.

You can listen to the complete song on the Kenny Wayne Shepherd website as they've got it streaming there. Good stuff!
I liked it so much I ran off to iTunes and grabbed the single which is out now. Looking forward to the whole album myself.
Planet Rock have an exclusive stream of the whole album at:

I just hope Kenny "brings it" on this album. If I yawn when I play it, I'll be let down and very upset. He's had enough years to put together some jaw dropping songs. Joe can drop jaws with a new album every time... Kenny should be held to the same standard. I've been following KWS for more years, but my patience with him gets less and less with time.
Well, I can judge music by listening to it, I can´t judge the personality of an artist if I don´t know him personally.

A very valid point Günter.

I can't that I know Kenny but I have met him on numerous occasions dating back to 1999. He always been very cordial and willing to sign anything that I had. Had a great conversation with him about the 10 days cd/dvd and he was really proud to have been a part of documenting some of the great blues legends. He felt that those were the stars of the album not himself. I really like Deezer's comment as well, very articulate and thought out. I learned a long time ago there is always two sides to every story, and unless I heard KWS side of Roy's story then I would not pass any judgement less I be judged... Rock on....
Still can't wait to hear the new KWS cd and will see the live show Aug 13. Not going to be involved enough in his life to make a judgment call on his personality etc., but always enjoy his live shows!
Similar situation with Stevie Ray (RIP) once so long ago. SRV plugged in that chunk of maple into that pile of electronic crap they gave him and tore the roof off the place. There was a lot of elbowing and snickering going on backstage. That plan backfired...BIGTIME...

Chuck Berry didn't travel with amps, or even a band! Just his guitar.
Now THAT's the blues! House bands and house amps? and he's still a legend.
Bruce Springsteen and the Estreet band backed him up once, but I'm sure the accommodations outside NJ were much less promising!
Your words about the forum ring true.Hope the KWS cd kicks a**.
Indeed!
The new album came out today and for me it's a bit disappointing. I like the first song, "Never Lookin' Back" (good rockin' blues) and the last, an interesting cover of "Baby The Rain Must Fall", but everything in between has a generic sound to it. Maybe it'll grow on me but there's no "wow" on this disc.
