So, a fella can only have so many GOLDIE guitars right?

So, there they are:
GOLDIE Strat build: Warmoth strat, Adler body, Callaham vintage tremelo, suhr fletcher / landau pickups ( bridge tone mod ), custom JB neckplate, warmoth Birdseye maple neck with rosewood board ( joe's signature on headstock ), sparkle paint by Marty Bell Finishing.
GOLDIE Tele build: Warmoth telecaster, Adler body with forearm and tummy cuts, wilkinson bridge with compensated saddles, Duncan lil '59 bridge pickup, Lollar +2% neck pickup, warmoth Birdseye maple neck with rosewood board ( joe's signature on headstock ) sparkle paint by Marty Bell Finishing.
GOLDIE Steve Morse build: Morse Ernie Ball guitar, sparkle paint by Marty Bell Finishing, custom chandler pickguard ( removed the angled single coil and two toggle switches ), rewired with Duncan pearly gates custom shop pickups and classic stack single coil.
The GOLDIE decal is vinyl replica, scanned from water decal that Spider hooked me up with ( twice!!! )
Now......will not build anymore GOLDIE guitars.....but have started a BLACKIE build, based on Joe's Clapton......don't like the Clapton neck and wanted a battery compartment for the Lace pickups......hopefully will get that headstock signed too, lol....

My GOLDIE Build Part 4
As you all know, sourcing 10+ year old stickers is not easy -- so once again my buddy to the rescue, making copies of the white oval JOE sticker -- again, I have more if anyone is interested???
Placed mine on the backplate....as body is shiny, no checking as it was painted couple months ago....hence more of homage and not a replica so much....

More to come.....

Looks awesome Jay

Dick Dale originally learned to play on a right-handed guitar, flipping it upside down. By the time he got a left-handed guitar he kept the upside down string configuration.
I saw him play here in town a year or so ago and he still rocks. An amazing player and cancer survivor.

I wonder how many gold JB Strats Fender would have sold by now?

Hi Jim...They would have sold a bunch!!!
They've sold a bunch of gold sparkle strats, teles, and basses over the years dating back to the early 60's. The custom shop still pushes them out with varying shades of gold sparkle from time to time. Yes, if they had done a LTD Bonamassa Signature strat they would have sold out in no time and would now be a highly prized collectable. That was an opportunity missed for sure.
Stay Safe Y'all!!

Dude.... Your amazing!!
Pretty cool hobby Jay. Nice to have something to do on those long winter nights up north.
Rick
Well done Jay! Great looking and sounding.
As for the LTD JB Strat? They missed out on that, loving my JB Les Paul instead.
Spider.....the good news is I am moving on.....up next a build of the black Clapton strat, yes could just buy a Clapton strat.....but more fun to customize and build your own take.
Plus want a battery compartment for the 9 volt and a different neck profile on the guitar.....and maybe, just maybe can get lucky and joe will sign this headstock as well?????
Rick.....yes!!!! What a fun hobby for sure, little compulsive or obsessive maybe, lol......but all good!!!!!
Mini......agreed, fender pooched the deal for sure!!!!! Would have been first in line for one. Spider has a nice copy from fenders custom shop!
Picture proof of the acknowledgement by the Great One, right Nic? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid … mp;theater
