Topic: Hello from Detroit

Hello to everyone, I just want to tell you how much I appreciate this forum.  Several months ago I discovered Joe on Paladia and to say he has changed my playing is an understatement.  My musical influences have been Albert King, Clapton, Page, Santana and for the last five years David Gilmour.  Each of these great artist have helped me find my own style and push through barriers, but I think Joe's style and tone will become the greatest influence in my playing period.  Joe is absolutley amazing, and I love how down to earth he seems to be with his fans.  For the record, I've been playing since I was 18 and I'm now 62.  For me classic rock was brand new when I first heard it.  Funny how time flies by.  Anyway I'm very glad to be part of this forum and following Joe's travels and postings.  I have his Fuzz Face on order and I picked up my JPLP Studio yesterday.  I'm blessed to own some amazing custom shop LP's but this Studio is pretty special.  A special thanks goes out to Joe for collaborating with Gibson to bring this great guitar to market.  It has exceeded my expectations.

Best regards

John

Welcome to the forum John. That is a nice intro and not much I can say, since you seem to have done your homework. Go see him as soon as he gets near you. His live show is light years better than his studio work. We welcome your input and there are probably a good number of compatriots over in the gear section that can answer all questions about his rig. Climb aboard and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm going to go see Joe as soon as I can.  I've spent most of my time in the gear section and I'm very happy to be part of this great group of Joe's fans.
