Topic: B3?

Since I'm new here, I thought I'd share one of my ideas. This is something that would really help to bring awareness to some great music. I think.

Since there's a G3 tour every couple of years, I thought there should be a "B3" (Blues 3) tour also. 3 great Blues/Blues-Based guitarists.

Who would you guys like to see share the stage? Old or new, it doesn't matter.

    Fill in the blanks:

    1. Joe Bonamassa (Of course!)

    2. ?

    3. ?

Personally, I'd like to see this:

    1. J. B.

    2. Johnny Lang

    3. Tony Furtado

There are a lot of other great possibilities, too. Scott Henderson, Mike Welch, Mike Morgan, Derek Trucks, etc.

Early 80's 1957 U.S. Vintage Reissue Stratocaster (Surf Green)-Warmouth Soloist  Pearly Gates Neck, Pearly Gates Bridge- Larrivee D-03 (Mahogany/ Spruce)
Carmen Ghia Head- Marshall 112 Cab W/G12H 30  or  Custom 4 X 6v6 Head  or  Budda Twinmaster Plus Head-Traynor 212 Cab w/Eminence Texas Heats.
Mo'D-Eternity-Blues Pro- Timmy-BYOC Chorus/Vibrato- TC SCF- Korg DT 10 Pedal Tuner

Re: B3?

That's a tough question. How many people are on Joe's level? I'll say Gary Moore and Eric Clapton. Clapton may have mellowed but that Crossroads concert and Cream reunion should dispel any doubt that he can still play.

Re: B3?

Thats always a tough choice for 2 more. I would pick jb walter trout, and lance lopez...not a well known name but a favorite

Re: B3?

Well now, I have an idea about that.  If B.B. King were to do another tour with both our man Joe B. and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, I think it'd be great if they did 2 shows per tour stop.  The first night would be the individual shows and the second night all 3 could be on stage together doing the trifecta thing!  Now that would be an amazing set of shows.

Other than that, I'd like to see a B3 tour with Joe, Warren Haynes, and Walter Trout.

Re: B3?

Great combos mentioned, especially like Deezer's post and morrow's with KWS and BB for another round together!  (B.B., Joe and KWS belong on a talk show together-the King w/2 guitarists he took under his wing)  I can't be limited to just one combo...

Mentioned this before and since we're talking fantasy, love to have a recording...Riding with the King II
Joe Bonamassa
Eric Clapton
B.B. King

Read in an interview last year that Joe would most like to play with these two, so cheers to that dream!
Joe Bonamassa
Eric Clapton
Jeff Beck

And to increase Joe's fan base-these 2 configurations
Joe Bonamassa
Jimmy Page
Jack White

Joe Bonamassa
Derek Trucks
John Mayer

And for fun, these two combinations could really be exciting!
