Topic: Larry Carlton/Gibson/Japan

I couldn't find any threads just about Larry Carlton.  I thought I'd share his April newsletter, this is especially cool.  Larry plays a Gibson 335.  This is to raise money for the Japan relief effort.

Joe, if you read this & your travels bring you to wherever Larry's guitars are, I hope you get the opportunity to sign one of Larry's guitars.  smile

"We have also made arrangements to have 5 Official Larry Carlton 335 guitars strategically placed around the world to collect the signatures of the biggest stars and be sold at auction 6 months from now. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Japan relief effort. Furthermore, 335 Records and Larry Carlton have already donated thousands of products that are being sold by Blue Note and Tower Records with all of the proceeds going to Japan relief."

thanks Angela, but my security settings hate the link. Larry is just a great guy and this does not surprise me since he has played there so often, but what a novel idea. Now where do I need to go to sign one of the guitars? tongue
