Arlan's show post on fb mentions the band, Joe, and "special guests". The club is famous for having great musicians show up to sit in. Anyone is possible given the loads of talent in the area.  smile

RCFP lived up to the name with some seriously groovy Funk being laid down. Spoonful was pretty good, but wait until you hear Wee Wee Hours! That is what it is right now BTW, nighty night. I got 100% of the show on vids from dead center ground zero.  I'll start upping after I get some sleep.

Re: Joe in a small club!

G'Day All

Great Show last nite,,,Thanks Rick for the late show ticks, What can I say,,,The level of musicianship

was astounding...by all of the performers.  I have to say Tal Bergman NEVER ceases to amaze me

how well he plays drums..It is NO WONDER WHY Joe has him as his Number 1....and He is a very easy going

soul..real easy to approach, and converse with and he likes to have a good time!.. I Like Tal!

Joe was, as usual, just mesmerizing, and Ron DeJesus just killed on guitar, he was the perfect compliment to Joe.

Mike Merritt was solid on Bass, spoke with him and he was just genuinely a nice guy, and happy to be there

and Arlen.. WOW can that guy wiggle those KEYS or what? An outstanding show..fun time.

Great to see ALL the "usual SUSPECTS" there. What a great group of Bonamassa Fans.

Great People, Great Music, Great night!

Cheers

Re: Joe in a small club!

I ran this through my editor and started the upload at 4am as I nodded off. The last shall be the first, and my favorite of the night.  The encore song and so so so sweet. Wee Wee Hours, Joe doing what we love. The band took us on a magic carpet ride and then set us down gently. Another fantastic night at the Spud, way better than the first!

That is just sublime Rick, just how i like my laid back Jazzy Blues, Wow must've been a fantastic night out and that setlist is choc full of songs of yesteryear  cool

love the sounds that band are making and it begs the question a limited cd release would sell like thousands easily and appeal to a broader audience too with a varied inclusion of songs like they have played in the last 2 shows at The Baked Potato

looking forward to more superb quality vids of that special night there

An interesting thought Michael. If they could find time to do a recording session and release a proper cd, I'd be first in line!

This may be a misplaced dumb question instead of a misplaced topic...but shouldn't or couldn't this be bussed over to the Show Reviews and Setlists? Not demanding, just wondering if we wouldn't file everything that fits there...LOTS going on these days, even in downtime... cool

Quite true Rocket. Start a thread and I'll move the stuff over there. I know you and others have some choice stuff too. First song of the set uploading right now. It was nice to see you and all the others there last night. We rolled in about 4. That made for a 14 hour roadtrip. Worth every minute, but these old bones aren't moving so quickly this morning. Off to do it again tonight up at the Coach House!   tongue

Rick

Just registered to say hello.
The early show was my first time seeing Joe Bonamassa....amazing stuff, so glad that I went.

I spoke to a couple folks who I'm guessing are here.  Based on the video, you were the folks to my right with one of the two cameras that I saw.  I was over at the bar with my niece.

I reviewed the show on my blog last night when I got home...but, it's one of the more gushy reviews that I've written...But, heck...the only show I've seen in a while on the level with last night was Jeff Beck in Pomona...and he wasn't playing in a room the size of my living room.  If anyone cares to read a review by a newbie...here's the blog.
http://jonctrask.wordpress.com/

Nothing real groundbreaking in the writing, but just a way for me to jot down some quick thoughts about a great show when I got home.
Pleased to meet you all,
JT
