Topic: Hey all

Total newbie here...not even a history of lurking!
Just wanted to say hi to fellow JB fans . Not to be a downer, but I was only introduced to JB's music in December by a musician friend of mine who we all lost last month rather suddenly. Thought of him frequently at Joe's show in Westbury, NY. Great show, but we miss you Hal. I know you'll be there at the Beacon with us in November.

Welcome to the forum Bill from Bayside...I was born in Queens, and compelled to say hello!!!!  See ya at the Beacon as well!!!! Rock On Joe....and Let's Go Mets!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the greet, Bill. The show *was* fantastic, but I was impressed by something in addition to his music. Here's a guy still finding his way to elite stardom (convinced he will make it, and sooner over later) who released a new album just a few days before the concert, and while he played some cuts from it, wasn't there shilling it or ramming it down our throats. Played the songs and let them stand on their own. It was so refreshing. Real nice album by the way.
