If I were to produce, I'd call on Mr. Meerkat (if available)!  Everybody else may have something to hide besides you and your monkey, Gary, but...A 440 lb. (200kg) gorilla would overshadow Joe (yes, a twin lead track!), and besides, he'd consume 10x more than his pay in catering...I heard he likes some rare fancy French melon over bananas (and uses the rinds for facials to maintain his youthful glow).

Did someone mention Mr Meerkat?  He's always available for a friend in need.  He doesn't eat much either.

Re: Where's Big Jeff Jones?

I wishes to pontificate.  *cleaning up a hard drive old, FOUND A LETTER I WROTE to **..**...

Unkept promises lead to guilt.  Deals made; not honored lead to guilt.  Unpaid bills lead to guilt.  Whether recognized or denied, even buried, unless one is a complete sociopath, (fate worse than death), guilt becomes soul sickness, a weight no human being is designed to carry.

It will crush us into slavery.  Depression and a sense of futility are just fear, so we hide from the world.  We become empty shells, unable to face ourselves, let alone the world.  Not smoov.

A lack of integrity is worse punishment than a lack of money.  Money comes & money goes.   Your name, rep & your character stay with you, even after you die. Grow up.  Man up.  It's an inside job.  It takes work, but it's less work than dodging the devil.

Into action; nothing results from merely stating your intentions.  NO FEAR! YOUR PRIORITIES?  This is cosmic law; of the UNIVERSE... Pay your debts.  Trust me. You owe life.  Life does NOT owe you.  Forgive all.

amen

Re: Where's Big Jeff Jones?

Wow didn't mean to scare y'all.  Too deep?  anyway...nother story:

Pulled in to McDonald's drive=through fer a Egg-a-Muffin Meal and noticed I was behind a plain-clothes or unmarked Crown Victoria Interceptor cop car.  My window was down and I said to nobody in particular, "Wow! I sure do miss my old Interceptor." and gave the speaker my order; no just a small coffee please.

As I rolled up the window one to pay for mi breftuss, the young cashier girl looks at me and says, "That lady up there paid your tab."  HUH?  What lady? and I'm looking...  From the unmarked car this long arm with perfect fingernails and pretty jewelry waves at me in a very feminine fashion...

My jaw hit my steering wheel and I dropped my hash browns.  When I came up from getting them, she was pulling into traffic and waving goodbye.  I never even saw her face.

but I was grinning like a fool...

It's a new trend, for real, called paying it forward. In practice, you were supposed to pay for the car in back of you, but it's not mandatory. lol I saw a story on the news the other night where this happened the entire day at one drive thru. Who can argue with people being nice to others? We need more wink   Much love and I miss you xxxx

Verdad primo.  By whatever grace there is available to an old blues-man from the bottoms of shantytown, I have not had a drop of alcohol for 30 years today.

NOT ONE.  Not one sniff of that either...It's a BFD.  # times I have cheated death. 3 in the last 10 years I've been sober.  lol

Cool. Got a Link?

I placed the link next to the date in yesterday's Bonahistory.  (If I stumble onto a cool video, or Forum post etc. for a particular date, I paste a link next to the date.)

Yesterday's (11/7) dates in Bonahistory were:

11/07/10 Amsterdam Holland - Carre Theatre
11/07/09 (week of) Ballad of John Henry back at #1 on Billboard Blues Chart (after debuting at #1 in March)
11/07/09 Miami FL - Gusman Center
A 30 post thread centered on a detailed show review by bigjeffjones on post #8: https://forum.jbonamassa.com/viewtopic.php?id=11830
11/07/03 Dallas TX - Tree's
11/07/02 Pomeroy OH - Court Street Grill
