That is pretty cool Patty, if you don't mind watch nature in total reality. Mom is now feeding dead, regergitated rabbit to the one baby. Looks like two other eggs are waiting to be hatched.
I love these birds of prey. They are so majestic looking. When I was around 20, my ex sister in law and I raised a red tail hawk. Was to the point in releasing it back into the wild and some *&^% jerk stole the bird. I sure hope they knew what they were doing because it takes a bit of knowledge to raise it and we were to the point where it was getting too big to handle. I beleive in CA here you must have a falconer's license (which we did not) to handle these types of birds.
Thanks for the link.
Thanks for sharing this. Interesting how those pre-dawn hours are so perfect for birthing. Beautiful the way Momma rocks those eggs.

You know, I just have to ask, do you think the Eagle is "Tweeting"?
Roy
I feel like a "mother hen" Worrying about the eagles & babes.......we are having 90 mile hour winds, rain, hail, lots of lightening......the sky looks like Close Encounters..........hang on tight to your nest and babies....Mother Nature please watch out for these special ones...... ♥

We have a similar situation here in San Diego. A local family has a web cam in a bird house with a breeding pair of wild Barn Owls. The web cam has been heavily viewed and they garner a nice income by selling ad space.

No, a camera operator panned away and we saw it was a little birdy trying to impress another little birdy!

...fantastic!...thanks for the link Patty!
I just realized that even at night, they have a light on this poor mom Eagle. Can't a mother get any rest? Shut the light off! Oh well, she might as well get used to it, she's got kids now.

As an animal lover..... this is cool, thanks Patty.
Also, i have read the Bald Headed Eagle is no longer an endangered species. Source: WWF, so that's encouraging.
Ah thanks, this is really cool, love the fact that its great quality too and not a few pixels!

Plenty of them Brack, all over the place now. DDT ban really helped. We don't refer to them as bald headed, just bald eagles. This camera has brought about viral viewing!!! Send the link to someone today!

It looks like there is a big "clump" of feathers off to the side. I wonder if that happens naturally or what? Does anyone know? Or perhaps seeing the back side of the other proud parental unit? I know rabbits pull their hair out to cover their rabbit holes when they have babies. The wind is still carrying on this morning around here....hang on mama & papa & peeps
plj
P.S. On 2nd look, I think it is clump of feathers. Like a whole bunch would have just come out at once?
Just got lucky and saw Mom or Pop feeding the 2 hatchlings. It was so sweet......and then the nuzzling of them....so heartwarming.....love is love ♥
