Topic: Hello Joe and everyone else

Well, 3 weeks ago I was finishing up some tile work in my office and I had the 65 inch HDTV with 7.1 surround sound on the Palladia music channel.  I had the volume up as I was in the next room with the French doors closed so no dust got out in to the TV room.  It rolls to 8pm and on comes.....


....Joe Bonamassa Live from The Royal Albert Hall.  The guitar started playing (Django) and then he goes in to The Ballad of John Henry.  I was stunned.  No one was with me but I said "Who the He** is that?"

I took off my gloves and hit info on the remote and it said Joe Bonamassa (now I know)

I sat down in my lazyboy and just watched and listened.

2 songs later I was on Amazon.com and ordered the Bluray(1 day delivery of course)

Then I was on Jbonamassa.com.  Holy cow he's touring.  HOLY COW he's playing here on Long Island March 25th

Tried to buy 2 seats, nothing available.  Tried 1 seat nothing available.  Then I saw a pull-down for some off to the side of the stage seats and got two tickets in the last row.  I don't care, I AM IN!!!!

I got the Bluray and have watched it at least 5 times through.  2 days to the show, CAN'T WAIT.

April 7th seats go on sale for Joe at The Beacon Theater in NYC and I will have MUCH better seats for that one.


Man I cannot believe what I have been missing out on all these years.

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view. 
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

Welcome to the Forum Steve. Your tale has been mirrored a lot lately since that hit the sat channel. You have no idea though, until you hit that live show. If you think his recorded music is good, as the saying goes, ya ain't seen nuthin' yet! Be sure to go over to the Show Review topic and give us your report after you lose your Bonavirginity and become a blooded Bonaholic. (once your jaw becomes reinstalled)  lol We feed on those first timer's reports. (no superlative is excessive BTW  wink )
