Topic: EVM12L Black Label (Zakk Wylde) Speakers

Well, my G.A.S. has found it's way into speakers. To heck with my Eminence Governor & Swamp Thang speaker, to heck with the vintage 30's "english made" speakers I have. I NOW have the speakers that I truly believe have "the sound." The EVM 12L Black Label is an amazingly clear speaker... and loud! It's not flubby on the low end, and its not anywhere near ice-picky. Can't believe it.

I emptied my 4x12 cab and put in two Black Label Speakers. I'm waiting for my 3D vented Forte cab 2x12 vertical to come in... so this will get me by. The two empty spots for speakers probably serve the same purpose as a partially closed cabinet anyway.

I dropped the speakers in and was rolling by 6PM... next time I looked at the clock it was 9PM!
The head is a 100 watt knucklehead by Rivera. No reverb. To wet the sound a little, I put a Boss DD-3 in the effects loop, made the sound replace reverb for a quick and short delay.

My Dust Bowl package came in today too (pick tin, shirt, cd, and coffee mug)... it's like Christmas!  lol

AMS Musical Supply has them on clearance for $208 per speaker. Smokin deal because they are usually $280.
UPS had them to my door in 5 days.

I'll post videos in May once I get the permanent cabinet I'm planning to put them into.

I've just ordered a cab from zilla cabs for my JCM 50/25W (same a jubilee but from 89). It's a 2x12 size but with a 1x12 baffle. Was going to stick an EVM12L. Might just have to bite the bullet and go for it. Glad you like the black labels.

That is a steal. If I were to purchase them here in the UK..I'm looking at the equivalent of $405 each delivered...or $300 for the standard EVMs.
Damn UK to hell.

Anyone tried the eminence delta pro 12a. This is good alternative to the EVM12L and black label speakers I'm informed by a quick google search.
