Topic: Come on Marshall.....

Do the decent thing and make a JB Signature head!   smile

Kerry King, YJM, Slash.....

Surely Joe is next? Satriani's getting one and hes only just switched to Marshall, Joe's been shouting how good the Silver Jubilee is for years!

Just do it Marshall, no more flaming 15w MG's, lets have something proper!!

Re: Come on Marshall.....

I'm sure it would be really cool and have a good throaty voicing to it but I'll bet it will unfortunately have a 2k+ price tag!  He uses DSL's a lot.  So if they're good enough for Joe, they're close enough for me.  I love mine! -S.

...and no PCB.

Re: Come on Marshall.....

Yngwie has a signature head from Marshall coming out too.

Major Tom to ground control...

You beat me to it!

Re: Come on Marshall.....

Marshall's 50th anniversary next year so no doubt they'll be cashing in on that.

Yeah I agree there's nearly £1k difference in price for a second hand  jubilee and a DSL, and you can get some great tones from a DSL, I'm affraid I can't justify £1k for something that's gonna sound a little bit better......tbh Marshall's '70s superlead was the best amp I ever played IMO if I could just find one!!!

That's the YJM (Yngwie J. Malmsteen) mentioned in the first post.

The YJM, in my opinion, was done right.  It has the classic Marshall look on the front but on the back is a power soak knob, reverb, and boost controls.  Better that than having dumb looking switches and knobs on the front..  It's also in a larger Marshall Major sized box.  It looks really cool, and seems to have a lot of gain from the youtube videos of it.  Of course $$$. -Seth

Re: Come on Marshall.....

+1 on the DSL

50th What will it be called?

It will be their Golden Goose if they associate it with Joe.

Take care,
Bill

perhaps a Golden jubilee amp, same as the silver but with reverb and the power scaling thing of the slash and YJM.
