I became a Bonomassa believer Saturday night in Ames, and I loved seeing and hearing all the amazing guitars. Joe played a special Les Paul that had what appeared to be a Firebird/Explorer head, few fret markings, and a single pick-up. Anybody know the story behind this guitar? I haven't found a reference to it yet. Thanks in advance.

It's a one of a kind custom that Joe had Gibson make for him. As Rick mentioned, it's dubbed the Bonabyrd

Other fans have caught it on vid and photo, those you would have to do some searching around for, but there are some links in the above thread and the thread linked within it
