Topic: speakers to go with marshall dsl!

i am on the market for a new cab or speakers , i want to be picky and stay away from v30s as they are to harsh i belive that if your after the slash sound then great but what i want is the smooth punchy sound , can any recommend any ? would love the  EV12S but cant do that! was lookung at budda cabs?????  let me know guys please!   steve big_smile

I personally think the slash sound is better suited for Greenbacks... Greenbacks have earlier breakup than a V30.
Do you want the speaker to stay clean without pedals or gain? I'd suggest a SwampThang or Texas Heat by Eminence (something over 120watt) The EVM12L's are 200watt speakers and don't break up either, but more expensive.

Weber makes a clone of the EV12L called a Michigan. Might be worth checking out.
