Topic: San Diego Balboa Theater

First, a shot of my Meet and Greet with my mother, wife and niece, and a story. Mom is probably Joe's oldest fan at 91. She introduced me to Blues at an early age, as well as all music. She was a pianist and singer in her youth.
When we showed up for the meet, I picked up the 4 will call tickets for the litho and asked for the two more I had separately purchased for mom and niece with wheelchair seating since she doesn't get around as well as she used to. I was informed that the tickets had been canceled! yikes  yikes  yikes There was no way to get mom into the show since it was totally sold out and I had promised the other pair to friends from out of town. Oh well, she said, lets go see Joe and do the preparty and we'll go home. I was devastated! We go into the meet area and sat back to let the crowd thin, I shot Rockfarmer's guitar signing and finally, helped mom up to see Joe. He was very nice and cordial with her and chatted a bit, then asked if she was seeing the show. Well, no I said and explained what had happened. Joe turns to Warren and says "Go see what we can do." We hung out and after a bit, here came a wheelchair and attendant pair of tickets. I have heard of things happening but this was miraculous! Joe, you are once again, THE MAN! Words cannot begin to describe my gratitude! Here we are. https://picasaweb.google.com/Elexmage/R … 5254879186

After the meet, we went across the street to the Hard Rock Cafe where the group gathered for a cocktail party. Here is the crew. https://picasaweb.google.com/Elexmage/2 … 3218863826
After the show, I asked mom what she thought, "I was blown away", she said, "especially Woke Up Dreaming! Joe really rocks!"

Oh Lord, let us all keep rocking to this ripe old age!

Lower than that Pete! You have no idea how bad I felt, standing in the pouring rain seemed apt. I'd have paid a thousand bucks apiece for two tickets at that point.
