well I have been shopping and lusting over a Les Paul for a few years now.....I really thought long and hard about the new JB epi's but i dont like the 50's style neck and relaized that for me to be happy I needed to got with a 60's style neck.

so I settled on one of the new Les Paul Traditional Pro's.....thsi thing is sweet.  Vintage Sunburst finish......check out some pics in the link below.

Oh you'll love this guitar.  My dad has one in the exact color as yours.  Burst bucker 3 in the bridge, 57 classic plus in the neck.  Coil split on both pickups for single coil sounds.  Dad refers to his as his jimmy page guitar.  I really like the satin finish on back and gloss on the top.  This guitar should do anything you'll ever want, I hope you have years of great playing together.

Re: my new Les Paul

That is a great looking guitar.  Have fun!

Re: my new Les Paul

Man that looks like a true players guitar.  I love those traditionals!  They sound great and the neck is just right for me.  I love that light colored wood on the back.  What pups are in that.  Is it the BB Pros.  I know that some normal traditionals come with 57 classics?  Beautiful snag

here's you a link to a real quickie sound test....i know everybody always says this but i really just did this in about 15 minutes and did not work anything out....just jammed a simple riff and played some bad lead over the top but i wanted to see if i could get good ole 70's style tone out of my new les paul.....so click below and you can check it out too.

it's the "les paul/marshall test" track.

Re: my new Les Paul

Sounds really great man.  Very rock in roll.  Nice classic tone!

Re: my new Les Paul

That sounds very good.  I would say you nailed the classic 70's tone.
