Topic: Letting some things go....

Sadly, a few of my favorite toys have to go.  Christmas is nearly here and the extra cash would really help.  I'm letting my Marshall DSL100 go for $500 and my Dailey C-Series 50w head and cab go for $900.  If you do your research those are STEALS so you guys looking to treat yourself to a nice XMAS treat let me know if you are interested.  Because the prices are so low, you'll probably need to take care of shipping cost but we may be able to work something out.  Thanks!

The future Mrs. isn't behind this gear purge I hope.

Speaking from experience, it's the shape of bad things to come, like having to sneak new gear into the house.   "What?  Oh, that old thing; I've had it in the closet for a long time.  Just decided to pull it out and see if it still works.  That's not a price tag, it's the model number."  lol

Guitars: '79 LP Custom, '01 Dickey Betts Goldie - 80 of 114, '00 Chandler Lectraslide
Amps: '00 Marshall 1987x, '70 Marshall 1959 SL, 4x12 JBL D120s
'64 Vibroverb - JBL D130, '66 Super Reverb - CTS Alnicos

Reasons 3978 and 3979 why i will NEVER get married.  My amps are my kids, the guitars my ladies, and they are very open minded about me taking a stroll with other curvy lasses.

Re: Letting some things go....

Damn.... If you had posted it about a week or so earlier, I would have bought the DSL from you.....As it is I already bought and received the Jet City amp.

And even better shipping would have been low because it would have been going to an address in Florida.

sad

Good luck with the sale though.

Re: Letting some things go....

If I wasn't a poor college student, I'd definitely be interested in the Dailey. Darn tuition!

Re: Letting some things go....

So I would love for Joe B to add a section of his forum for us to list our gear that we are trying to sell as i always feel slightly wrong putting adds for stuff here.  But since its already started...

Anyone want a Bruno Underground 30 2x12 Combo?  Its in great shape... sounds as perfect as the day it left the shop... looks great...

$2200. Its a 3000 dollar amp... so I think thats a pretty fair price. I got a baby coming and i just dont use this amp that much.

Joe.... Think about it.  These amps are tone machines.

Merry Christmas everyone...

Re: Letting some things go....

Hey Justin,

Did you ever post any sound clips of the Dailey?  I would love to hear it.  I remember you bragging about this amp and sounds really interesting to me...could be something I might be interested in.  Plus what is in the cab?

Good advice Kev!  Yessir, the Marshall is in 100% tip top shape.  It originally had some effects loop issues which my amp tech fixed up and actually beefed up better than the stock Marshall wiring job.  It's tubed up and biased to what I like and it sounds freakin' killer.  I cannot believe guys are losing their asses on these amps lately.  The going used prices aren't worth 1/2 of what the tone you get out of 'em are.  Let me know if you are interested Kev, I've got the amp listed on a few other sites with some interest.  I'd prefer to sell to a fellow Bonamaniac!  cool

Hey Barry, if you contacted me via The Gear Page disregard this post.  I do have clips up, just check my youtube account under the same name 'stratpaulguy86' and it's one of the first few videos I put up.  My playing is SHITE on that video but there are a few moments that show how awesome it does the JB tone.  I love the 22w feature and the effects loop is one of the best I've used.  The cabinet is loaded with some killer sounding mystery speakers, not labeled unfortunately.  It's a great sounding cab that is actually very light to carry!  The tone is very reminicent of a JCM800 or small box Plex, modded with a little more gain.  It also does a great chimey clean on the lower input and you can use an AB box to toggle them for a lot of different tones.  I REALLY hate to sell this one because of how great it sounds and easy it is to carry around.  Not to mention the rarity....

No you are not.  This is the most informative forum there is and it is easy to overlook things by anyone, anytime, anywhere, including those who want to read and know it all.  People will point things out and repeated knowledge and such is never scorned, always welcomed.  That is why I highly recommend browsing around the entire website-you never know what you might find or find out! You gear heads love to pop in here and only here, but there is a world outside this section worth being a globe trotter for.  List whatever you want in the MARKETPLACE.  It stays, you could bump it, let us know if it sells or change of heart occurs...Thanks!

Hey Justin, that sounds amazing.

So it has a somewhat of a half power switch to 22 watts?  Can you shoot me an email to ordinryman4@hotmail.com?  Like to know how approximately it weights and where you would have to ship it from so I can get an idea on the cost.  That clip might have just help me to find the tone I have been looking for.  I also have a great sounding R8.

Let me know if you have paypal too or how we could do this if all goes according to plan...

Thanks, Barry

Re: Letting some things go....

Yeah I don't get it - there are dozens of DSL's for dirt cheap out there and I can't find a better sounding amp (any make) for anywhere NEAR those prices. IMHO they ROAST every other amp at that price range. I defy anyone to name ONE amp that has the tone, power and features of a DSL100 for $500.

That being said I was hoping to buy your amp and get it shipped to my in-laws in Port Charlotte. I spoke to them last night and it won't happen - they will be in New Zealand for a month starting Jan 2. Anyway, good luck selling your gear, but letting that Marshall go for so little is driving the market down for them - you should ask no less than $750!
