Topic: Acoustic solo

Just caught Joe's last show of the year in Ft. Myers, Fl.  First time for me to see him live. He did an acoustic solo that blew everyone away, including me. I've followed music for over 50 years and this fellow is the real deal. I noticed a "device" attached to the neck of his guitar. I thought it was a camera, it was about that size. Could someone tell me what it was and what it does. Thanks

I know Joe uses a capo on Woke Up Dreamin' not sure what kind of device could have been on the neck of his guitar. Do you have a picture of it?

It wasn't a capo. This thing was large, about 3X4 inches and it sat over the tuning knobs.

One of those clip on tuners maybe?  I don't think he tunes his own guitars though..  Could you notice a light on it, showing power?  Seems too low of light for a camera to work effectively.  Who knows. -S.

He had the same thing on the show in hollywood too, it looked a little to big for a clip on tuner, but at the orlando show on the 4th he did not have it on his guitar. Maybe he will chime in on this and let us know

It was only there on the acoustic solo, which was outrageous by the way.
