Lefty Gibsons..... Custom Shop? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ok guys.  I have wanted a Gibson LP for the longest time and have also had the money for the longest time.  There is not 1 left handed Gibson LP in the state of Indiana or that I can find in Indiana.  I want to play it before I buy it to make sure it has the acoustic qualities I am looking for.  Also, I can't get through to the Gibson Custom shop and if I ever do, are you allowed to pick out your own top from a local lumber yard so you know exactly what you want?  I know it is a long shot but at least I would know be getting what I wanted.  You can barely find good tops and color choices on lefties.  Believe me I am not only looking for aesthetics.  I am a tone freak and have gutted my gigging guitars and they sound great!!!!  They are not pretty but they have tone!!!  I have gigged for years and am ready to have the best of both worlds.  Any ideas?
