Topic: early christmas present!

My dad decided he hates his Squire Afinity Telecaster so he decided he was going to give it to me!  big_smile  I put some cheap GFS pickups in it a year ago and I think its a pretty sweet guitar for a freebie.  So I'm on cloud nine right now a new toy  smile

new guitars are the best! I'm upgrading one of my guitarfetish strats over the thanksgiving break, and that website is the  best place for quality, affordable components for project guitars. have fun with your strat, I know I'll be having fun with mine  big_smile

I must say I got the guitar today and I am really surprised that a $180 guitar can play this good.  The pickups are GFS and sound great.  I am already thinking about tricking this thing out just for the fun of saying look what I did on a budget.  I want people to hear this thing and say "My gosh that Tele sounds good."

My first guitar was a pawn shop special 1976 Electra Omega and it cost me 85 bucks.  Set neck, mahogany body, maple top... After dropping some DiMarzio virtual PAF's in it, still one of my best sounding guitars that I own.  Enjoy the Tele, and play it hard so it gets all nasty and stuff.

I think you can put GFS pickups in just about anything, and it would sound good. Never had a bad experience with them.
