Re: Joe's setup

I had not seen this video yet.  It is a good one.  Thanks for posting.  A lot of work goes on behind the scenes and prior to the performance.  That is what makes the bar band jobs tough for the local musicians.  You know, you start setting up around 2:00 PM including your own PA system.  Nothing goes as well as it should and instead of taking an hour and a half, it takes three.  You go home, shower quick, eat, and warm up some.  Go back to the bar and play for four hours.  Then you step back out of the limelight, and start tearing down equipment and loading the trailer.  You get home about 3:00 AM and smell like a wet pack of burnt cigarettes.  When you get my age, it takes you a week to recover and get the smell out.  But, during those four hours, you are on top of the world!

Re: Joe's setup

Let's see the same videos of the Floyd '94 concerts or the U2 'claw'...

The roadies put in a lot of hard work into these gigs....a big thanks to all the guys behind the scenes. It wouldn't happen otherwise.

Do you push your amps and cabs up the stairs, Joe?  lol

Yeah it's a cool video.  I saw it a few weeks ago, it was posted under "General Topics" I think.  I love all the behind the scenes stuff, to me it's somewhat glamorous!  I just appreciate the hard work these people put in for someone else, I'd love to see more in depth video of all that goes on on show night.  -S.

Going to Columbus, Ohio show.

Does Joe use the horns and two drummers for a venue seating 2800 people in a theater?

Thanks, Vonnie

Welcome to the Forum Vonnie. Joe only used that for the Royal Albert Hall concert and in a warmup concert just before it. Never since.
