Re: Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam European Tour....

Sadly, Davy doesn't appear to be making the short hop across the channel this time.  sad

I had heard that he was hoping to play in the UK this year, so I'll be disappointed if he doesn't make it some time soon. Still, mustn't be greedy, seeing him four times in the last 18 months is pretty good going.  big_smile

No way! I'd call her an Elf before I called her that. After all, an Elf is of Germanic mythology. I hope you both enjoy the show. Say hello to you know who for me, OK? No, not the Elf, but Davy. wink

George and I are going to the show in Amsterdam. I'm trying to figure out a way to wear my Sonny shirt and my BDS shirt  hmm  I'm excited for Davy to see Sonny play!!   Cathy

(I'm hoping to hit Sonny up for Stringsforacure  wink )

Looking forward to meeting you there, Günter. Please ask your elven daughter to come, too. I'll buy her a drink if she comes. smile

Davy and his fellows are not only great musicians but also very nice guys to talk to. Last time they played in Munich (in April) there was only an audience of around 30 people. OK, it was the evening of an important Champions League Football match featuring Bavaria Munich, but Davy & the BDS definitely deserve a larger audience!
So bring Eva and many friends if possible.

I'll be the 1,86 m guy with the mustache + chin-beard standing in front of you wink and I'll bring my wife Miriam.

Re: Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam European Tour....

I've been reading all about Davy in this forum for three years now. At first, I wondered what all the fuss was about and didn't get too involved since I wasn't going to be able to see him anyway. Gradually, more and more people with what I consider 'good' taste, including Cathy of course,  wink  appeared to believe that this boy was the real deal.

I have to confess now that I am SO looking forward to my first live Davy Knowles show in a week's time, much more than I am looking forward to the headliners. I have deliberately kept away from BDS songs so that I can listen without comparison, but what I have watched recently, his work with the Rhythm Devils, turns me on no end!  tongue

Yep, he is the real deal, just wish he'd do more in the UK. Very poor promotion here. Stunning guitar skills and that voice - Phew Awesome!

Re: Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam European Tour....

Will be interesting to see what the set list is for this go-round.  I know Davy learned a lot of new stuff for the Rhythm Devils tour and it will be fun to see if any of this carries over.

George - have Cathy give Davy a big hug from me and Mr Meerkat - and tell him to get himself  up to New England sometime soon!
