I dunno I've never played anything that gives me the EJ tone more than the BKTD. The Jester even trumps the new Reissue TD's w/ bias?

Yes yes yes! I am, as you know, a total Gilmourhead. I have spent hrs back to backing the TD and the Jester.

Ok guys - I had a chance to play with my new Jester last night for a bit. I compared it to SS2 and Timmy for now. It can definitely cover some of the ground of those pedals and then some. It has excellent feel compared to the solid state pedals and really feels like a part of my amp....was running it into my 74 DR504. It's an amazing OD and easily worth the $$ imo. You can't judge it by the clips online - it does sound different going into a loud clean monster and I'm happy it does. I like OD pedals that bring out some of the Hiwatt tone instead of sounding completely different. I have not compared it to my tube driver yet, but I can already tell you that it's a much better OD sound than the TD....it's more alive, less noisy, and better eq (more control). I don't lose my low end like I do with the TD (pulse era). I've had the new TD and thought the eq/low end was a bit better than the Chandler, but the Chandler is smoother.
I will try and post clips when I have time. Anyway, so far I think the Jester is amazing and can easily cover what the TD can do and more.

How about the amount of gain? The Jester seems to have less gain then the TD. I'm thinking of Gdansk...Castellorizon, Take A Breath ecc. It is possible to obtain THAT sound with the JEster? Thank you very much Jeffrey

Ya know I spent most my time in low-med gain settings as that's what I really use an OD for, but I did crank the gain for a bit - I think there's plenty on tap to get those tones or very close....but you may be right - may be less gain. I'm one that prefers the G2 over the TD when it comes to higher gain tones.

We have to calculate that Pete had to do lots of modification to Gilmour's TD (he told me a few days ago), so it is impossible to obtain that sound with a stock TD. A friend of mine is trying to modify my TD: a little less gain and basses, more mids and the highs smoothed
