Topic: Settings on the Marshall DSL 2000

Does anybody (and Joe) know what his settings are on the Marshall DSL 2000s ? He uses this when his big rig isn't available...

Well, the title says "Settings on the Marshall DSL 2000". He has 2 of them. I'd like to know the settings...

Re: Settings on the Marshall DSL 2000

If you mean Joe's DSL's for the fly in gigs... Then I might as well have a go and trying to explain.. My only uncertainty is which setting the head's are on, it's either 1 or 2.

1 - One of the heads is set to the clean channel, the other, on the 'crunch setting' of the clean channel

or

2 - One head on the 'crunch' setting, the other, on OD1

If Joe comments, he can simply correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that they both share the same settings... Being -

Gain - Full,
Bass - 6/7
Mid - 7/8
Treb - 3/4

By my personal experience with the DSL's - theyre don't have the most responsive EQ section, so most tone is controlled by the two volumes - TRY TO KEEP PRE-AMP AND POWER AMP VOLUMES THE SAME...

one more setting? wink Volume - .... as loud as you can go! (preferably use a perspex shield to protect your ears)
With the combo, I usually put both at about 8/9... 10 If Im lucky lol
