Topic: Playing Just Got Paid.

Hey, I was wondering whether anyone had or knows where to get a backing track for Joe's version of Just Got Paid?

Also

I attempted it yesterday.....and I reached to 2.28 in the video below.

However that entire section from 1.57 to 2.28 is nagging me because although I am getting the same pattern, I am not sure that they are the correct notes I am playing.....mainly the fretting position is way off compared to Joe's.

This is the first song I am learning by ear......but I will use tabs if I have to finish the song.....

Does anyone have any tips for playing that part inparticular and Joe's intimidating solos after? Or know where to get backing tracks?

Much Thanks.

Come on, doesn't anyone have some tips for that song?

Talk to Jeroenschaaf below in this thread. He's got his cover of it on there. Might not be what you want, but he's doing it!

Can anyone tell me the chord progressions in this song?

Slide 5-7-5 on both the D and G strings, then play 5 on the low E string (use your thumb like Joe, that may be the tricky bit, if you're not used to using your thumb), then twice 5 on both the D and G strings, followed by 5 on the low E string (use your thumb again) and once 5 on both the D and G strings. Then once 7 on the A and D string, once 5 on the A and D string, and once 7 on the A and D string.
Repeat the above pattern 3 times, after the second time hit the open B and high E string.
Then move the whole pattern to 7 (play three times). Again after the second time hit the open B and high E string.
Then play 7 - 6 - 5 - 6- 7 (on the low E string) and 5 - 10 (with a light bend) on the A string. Then move the whole pattern (as above) to 12 (play 4 times). Again  hit the open B and high E string after the second time.

I hope that is what you were looking for.

Re: Playing Just Got Paid.

The chords I am looking for are the chords over the verses....bridge...etc...

thanks

Re: Playing Just Got Paid.

I'm not sure about the bridge because I don't play it the same way Joe does, but it's E - D during the verse, and then G-A for the chorus.

Thank you so much.

I will try it today, but I think I can say that it looks correct, and exactly what I needed!
