Topic: Paul Jones at the Newark Blues Festival

What a treat we had at the festival yesterday afternoon. Paul Jones won the award for Harmonica player of the year and as he was playing that evening in Ripley he made a special trip to Newark in the afternoon to recieve it.
Then as the Chantel McGregor Band was setting up for their set he entertained the crowd with an impromptu song.

Then he joined Chantel on stage for Help Me......great stuff!

It must have been a real treat for everyone when Paul Jones joined Chantel on stage to perform Help Me. A great rendition of the song with Paul taking the lead part, and Chantel getting into a nice groove with the rhythm section. A different ending too to any of the closes I've heard Chantel do. They both seemed to really enjoy performing it as well. Wish I was there! Good timing too, with Chantel's session being given a re-run on the Paul Jones Show on Monday.
