Topic: recording software and components.

Hey all-

I am going to be going to Iraq in december, and plan on taking a cheap epiphone with me to jam on for the year I am there.... what recording software should I look into getting, and what other things do i need to make that happen. I dont need anything too crazy, as I've been told not to take anything there that I could not part with right now. I am not a pro player, and am just looking to do this to pass some time over there, and I'd like to do a recording from my first day there to when I leave so I can see if I have improved at all.

Thanks,
Logan

A mac with garage band would be good and you can expand on it when needed.

Re: recording software and components.

There is a free version of Reaper, I have never used it but my singer does and seems to like it. You can get a usb interface for under $100 and be good to go.
