Re: The London Gig Guide

Not sure what's happening with Wooders of late; hope there's nothing serious behind the recent low profile....

I don't want to step on anybody's toes, but there's a lot of gigs lining up here since Wooders' last update, so I've included a link to the companion guide (with Wooders' permission) I update on Aynsley Lister's forum where I moderate. It's not as comprehensive as the original, I don't have venue knowledge or time to do London as well as my local area, but hopefully it'll help to pull the above posts into some sort of order.

Unfortunately, this clashes with Joanne Shaw Taylor gig - otherwise I'd be there!

Re: The London Gig Guide

(I hope) you'll be pleased to know I'm still alive and kicking and have just updated page one.

I have to thank you all for the regular updates and Kenny in particular for sending me a spreadsheet of gigs to add to the list. Thank you, especially as most of you who provide the updates live several hundred miles from London!

If you listened to PJ's show on Radio 2 this evening, the last song was by Malaya Blue, who is appearing at the 100 Club on 13th October. Her voice made me stop in my tracks, it's that good. Catch her if you can.

I'll try to update page one sooner but can't give any guarantees. Keep 'em coming. smile

Re: The London Gig Guide

Page one updated again and amended where necessary.

If you didn't manage to buy a ticket for David Gilmour at the RAH in September (now sold out) you can see him in the more intimate setting of KoKo in Camden with P ussy Riot (I can't quite believe the forum won't allow me to quote their name properly!) for a reasonable £25 plus £1.20 fees.

Gary Clark Jnr has added a second date on the 15th Oct.

Electric Ballroom added to list of URLs as they seem to have some decent gigs. Camden certainly has a lot of small venues to see some decent bands.

Thanks as always for the interim updates from you all.

You beat me to it Kenny. I didn't see any advance notice about this show, which is a shame as the front 2 rows have already gone. Still, I'll be going.
