Re: The London Gig Guide

Glad to hit your funny bone, Mike. smile

Gig List on page 1 now updated. Good to see Aynsley "putting himself about" a bit down sarf with five dates. I shall try to get to some if I can.

Keep 'em coming.

Phil

Re: The London Gig Guide

Hot off the press with some good news, bad news from the premier Blues venue in the south east of Essex - New Crawdaddy Blues Club . The venue for its weekly Blues nights, The Belvedere, Billericay, is closing on 14th June 2013 and the last Blues gigs at the Belvedere will be Matt Andersen on the 6th and the Nigel Bagge Band on the 13th June. The good news is that The New Crawdaddy Blues Club will be moving a couple of miles down the road toward London to its new home at The Half Way House. This famous pub is located at the A127 junction with the A128 and is a few hundred yards from the M25 - so closer for those coming from London.

As The New Crawdaddy has been at The Belvedere for 14 years it will be a sad day when it closes but it's great that it will continue to provide first rate Blues on a weekly basis. The club has featured many of our favourite bands from the gig list and the promoters deserve our continuing patronage. The house band, The Heaters, are a fine Blues outfit and play a lot of well known and not so well known Blues tunes to a very high standard. It's certainly worth arriving in time for their set.

I'm looking forward to seeing Aynsley at the Half Way House on the 11th July. I hope he goes to the correct venue. yikes  big_smile

Re: The London Gig Guide

Another London date for Lincoln Durham - Sept 18th @ The Crown. That's vague, even by my standards; the address is 692 High Road, E11 3AA; whatever part of London that is; Waltham Forest?? ...dahn the eastend, you slag!!!. Anyway, good news is, it's free.

Another one to add, slightly out-the-box - Steve (h) Hogarth + Richard Barbieri @ La Scala, on 12th Sept.

We've already had Aynsley once "oop t'north", twice if you count Doncaster and 3 more coming up later in the year, so please excuse him the odd "howay man" between songs.  Watch out for him at Robin2 on July 5th - launch party for the new Home album. Sorry to sneak a Midlands gig in there - I will now scourge myself.

I feel the same as you Kenny, but there's no accounting for some folk's taste roll - or lack of.....
