My take on it after an hour of widdling....

1. Finish- unbelievable bit of relicing. Wonderful aging....look even better when my belt buckle does its worst. Really love the custom take on a Goldtop- the black is fab. 9/10
2. Neck- a baseball bat. I was surprised how thick but when you play it the action is like silk. I think the stringing over the top of the stop assists greatly. Also- whilst thick, it's easy to solo on, less comfy for chords. The board is as dry as a chip and needs lemon oil 7/10
3. Pups + sound. UN-BE-FUCKING-LEIVABLE. I shall never slag burstbuckers off again. It is as powerful as a Neutron bomb and as mellow as an archtop. Yummy. 9/10
4. Weight- it's a feather for an LP. 10/10
5. Case Candy- they could have done a little more. 5/10
6. Smell- very important- it smells like a Gibbo!! 10/10
7. All round- 9/10

That really is a great job of aging!  Much improvement over mine.  The cut lines on the top, for instance continue off the paint and into the wood.  Have to really look to see it, but they did a great job on yours!

It's an amazing relicing job.

What gets me is the sheer power of the thing. It has wields more power than Barrack Obama.

Also the tone/vols- very usable. I found Sloe Gin in an instant- middle position, bridge 8, neck 2. Sensational. I can honestly say this is unputdownable- totally addictive axe- one of the finest guits I've ever playing in my life and that's saying something. Well done Gibson (got something right for once!) and well done Joe on your attention to detail.

No 019 is in Europe too :-)

Re signing. It may be a good idea to email Rachael Iverson at J and R in Florida - make sure you give her plenty of time.  Rachael organizes Photo passes and probably a million other things too and can get your details passed to the Tour Manager.

I've had 3 signed to date, Aged, Un-Aged and an Uber Rare Blue one - Not all mine mine though. General protocol seems to be to get to the venue by 4pm.

It was shipped within the US first via Vegas.  I have a contact there who helped. He got to look after it for a while as I was working in India and didn't want it shipped to the UK while I was away.
