Re: Tuning Problem Warm Weather

I live in the tropics as well, and you have to be careful with keeping the guitars in a fairly constant temperature as much as possible.  Having them in an airconditioned bedroom for example, is not good as the difference between night time (aircond on) and day time (aircond off) is extreme and can cause guitars to have tuning and other problems.

I find keeping them in cases inside a cupboard is good, because within that little mini environment the temperature tends to stay fairly constant.  I've taken my guitars out of their cases in the middle of a hot afternoon and they are still cool to the touch.

I keep my guitars that I am not constantly playing in the spare room, within their cases inside a cupboard, and I keep my main playing guitar at the time on a stand in the living room where the temperature is matched with the environment and fairly constant.

Re: Tuning Problem Warm Weather

I don't have a PA but my amps are plenty loud enough if that's the issue.

Re: Tuning Problem Warm Weather

Volume is not the issue.  I'm a sensitive & delicate old geezer.  I was thinking bout vocals, you know, like doing a song.  lol  Ken what's a CA 50?  Is that a new medicine?

No problems Jeff, I don't have to play at stadium volumes to get my rig singin'.  I can't really speak for Ken but I think the CA 50 is referring to his Carol Ann?  I thought you had a OD100...did you trade it for a 50w model?  Anyways, if vocals are an issue someone could always plug a microphone into a spare guitar amp.  Lord knows between all of us there ought to be a few lying around!  Seriously guys, if our schedules permit, let's do a Florida JB Forum Blues Jam!

It's now an OD-2 50. I had it converted to 50 watts and updated to the latest specs. It's more flexable now, and doesn't have to be cranked up as loud to deliver the goods, but still very loud and proud if needed.

I'm always up for a jam, and I'll finally get to check out your amps. I'll bring the Budda too.

Re: Tuning Problem Warm Weather

Yes let's!  I can come to you, if you want first time.  It's a little closer for Ken.  OR  y'all can come here where my converted garage has PA, Drums etc.  Ken's been here.

Let's rock it !!!  Got a drummer?

Now that we've completely HiJacked this thread, we collectively apologize.  KenBob, a drum machine will keep us honest.

Sho nuff.  I can do that.  I might be intimidated with two guitarists in the room, though.

I'm sure you'll be fine.  So when is this happening?  And yes, we totally hijacked this mofo!  I have lots of space at my place and it's probably more midway between you guys.  Lemme know where and when (this will greatly affect what I can or can't bring).  If I'm travelling it'll probably be the Dailey +Fulldrive 2+ DL4 or DD3 delay.  If it's at my place then well....I can use the RIG OF DOOM!!!!!

I have to hear the rig of doom! It would have to be sometime on the weekend, or during the week at night for me.
