That's easy to fix:
Move to Norway! I have ever never had this problem here.... LOL
Sorry mate, I have no tips. I guess you allready have pulled the strings, retuned and repeated until they don't get out of tune, so my only tip is ....yep, move to a colder place:-)
Keep rocking!

A pain but normal with all wood stringed instruments. As the heat and humidity change, the wood in the instrument swells and shrinks, physically detuning itself. Get good at tuning quickly.

Dude I live in Central Florida, the hottest and most humid place in the US! My Strat has no problems because the maple is very hard and stable. The Gibbies are a totally different story. You even look at them wrong down here and they go way out of tune. The best advice I can give is to keep that nut as lubricated as possible. Big Ben's Nut Sauce works great $$$, #2 graphite pencil also works (an old EJ trick), or just changing the nut out all together. I've even heard of guys using WD-40 to lube the nuts and saddles. Make sure you stretch the hell out of the strings before tuning as well. A proper, meticulous setup from a reputable guitar tech can also make a big difference. After all this, yep, you'll still probably be out of tune!

Nut sauce can work miracles, we noticed a huge difference when we started using it. Stretching is important as mentioned. Also make sure the guitar acclimatizes.
A lot of tuning issues as are from poor set up. do you get that plinking noise when changing strings or tuning up, if so look at your nut, change it or use a nut file (carefully) and use nut sauce.

Also another commen problem with tunning is the locking method when you tie your string on!
This method is the most common problem as that 90% of guitarists dont know about, this means the string will not slip every time you tune up!!
Heat is not really the issue. It is the humidity as was stated earlier. Out here on the Left Coast it is pretty dry but hot. My LPs don't have a problem. When I lived in Central FL (high humidity) I was always tuning them.
Try to keep the temp. and humidity stable. Get a dehumdifier for your practice room if it is practical and you have high humidity. Playing out, you'll just have to deal with it. Some guitars, even of the same type, are more susceptible than others. Perhaps you need a new guitar.
Thanks for the help guys, suddenly the guitar stays more in tune while I haven't done anything.

Nice.
I have an Epi SG 'bout the same year. One of my tuners was not properly set in the headstock was one problem, but that seemed to fade after I set it up, until I put on new strings. About the time they got funky, they stopped stretching back and forth.
Shhh don't like guitar players...

I'm a Deland boy, born and raised. I've lived in Deltona, Sanford, and Orange City in the past. Jeff you are always welcome! Nobody plays bass that I know and I hear that you are very good. Shoot me a PM if you guys wanna jam sometime!
Central FL forum jam????I'll bring my newly upgraded CA 50...it might get loud...
Damn, I'm a transplanted FL native and I live three time zones away. Go figure. Maybe if I turn mine up loud enough you'll hear it. Just give me a three hour advanced cue on when to come in.
I spent a lot of time in Debary and Deltona - back in the old days racing dirt bikes with a buddy that lived in Debary.
Great place. A lot cheaper than where I live now, but now I'm only about 5 hours from Joe's place (assuming he still has one in LA). I wonder why he hasn't invited me over?
