Any opinions on Gary Moore's latest move?

I've only had a quick listen so far. Not quite my thing, I hate to say. I understand that he feels a need to explore new territory after years of playing the Blues. Nothing wrong with that at all. But GM playing the Blues with the passion and intensity that he did (and still does) is what I loved most about the man. Returning to 80s rock is not what Iexpected. The Celtic Rock album might (will) grow on me and I'll buy it for sure. BUT, most important of all: he announced another Blues album before this. When will that be released?
