Re: Pics of my gear

Nice stuff. I like the Dot - I am on the hunt for a semi-hollowbody at the moment (going through eBay hell over it as well but that's another story).

How is the Bugera Amp? I only have limited funds for my guitar mid-life crisis and I have read some good reviews about them. I could fit one under my salary cap too which is a bonus.

Cheers.

I'm really liking that LP59...my sort of thing. Really need the noise suppressor?

Yeah - I have quite a lot of gain when using the HT Dual on the ECC83 channel of the Blackstar so the suppressor is handy. I used to use the Boss NS-2 but the ISP Decimator is streets ahead. Does 1 thing VERY well - suppresses noise.

I love the R9. It took me ages to find one like this. As always with Les Pauls, every one is different and I must have tried more than 20 before fiding this one. It's a very rare colour for an R9 (Sunrise Teaburst) and sounds sweet as a nut with the Bare Knuckle Mules in it. Highly recommended for that classic Mayall Bluesbreakers era tone. Blackstar Artisan is the best amp I ever owned in 30 years. Blows Marshall, Boogie and Fender away.

Wotz your rig?

I've owned many, many amps...and up until last week...a fair pedal board.
Now I'm slowing down with a LP Standard fat 50s neck w/BK Mules (the only way)...Mogami Cables...Orange Rockerverb w/KT88s (make a huge + difference)...and Sonic Research Strobe Tuner.

Very much thinking about a lower gain hand-wired Orange (can't say this is bad though)...even looking at the Artisan...can get the 100 for a nice swap really. Looking for those Plexi-andabitmore tones.
