Topic: Spanish Boots tab
Sat down w/ S Boots for a 1/2 hour...so far
Tuning...standard tuning...however...6th string tuned down 1/2 step to Eb/D#....for part at 2:30 in the song...on only the 6th string = 3 2 0 2 3 2 0
Start song 6th string 5th fret "A" note....(really Ab/G#)....and go from there with the opening riff....
6th string notes 5 5 7 slide 8
5th string notes 4 4 5, 5 side 6
6th string notes 5 5 ...then the stab part x x x 6 7 7 high pitch stab let slide and degrade
Chords C# barre 4th fret .... driving with the beat, then the slide partial chord from here is the ''inside'' of barre chords B and C#.....play the inside 3 strings of the B = x x x 4 4 4 x slide quickly to the C# = x x x 6 6 6 x and back to B then an
G#m 4th fret = x 5 5 3 3 3....dont play the 6th string.....with this G#m, use the side of pick sweeping down to get the 3 high strings to shimmer and harmonic some....My L Paul at least....You guys critique this please...I want to play it correctly.
I watched JB on Y Tube with Blue and Evil, & really want to learn that song.......the chord & double stop progression. The Greek mandolin on guitar part is a real quick 3rd string series of sliding and pull off notes 4 5 4 2 4 5 4 2 4
Thanks >> DAN
PS.....4/27/10 ....just thinking about the tuning....instead of just the 6th string being dropped a 1/2 step,...perhaps the whole guitar is detuned a 1/2 step....tuning being in ''Eb''.?
That would change my tab above....perhaps.....sorry.......and help out.......Perhaps I should have worked on the song more before posting..... Thanks DAN
