I think I remember hearing that there was also a Derek "face" made but we only got to see Joe's.  Jane - I know you are still looking for that certain picture.  Next time we get to meet I'll bring ALL my pictures from that day and you can look thru them.  I've looked for you, but since you know exactly what you are looking for maybe you will find it.

That was such an awesome day.

These pictures are great!  Brings back every drop of sweat from that very hot day.  But hottest of all, Joe on guitar!  This was another venue where Joe started playing early - people were racing out of long beer lines to get back to the stage to see our favorite four artists.

Kevin:  Love your photos and your initial review of Joe's April 23 show in DC.  This was our first exposure to this outstanding blues artist - WOW!  If space allows, could we use one of your photos from the Hot August Blues Festival in the DC Blues Society newsletter?  We would give you credit for the photo - Kevin Malley, right?
