Where have you seen the tracklist? Or are you referring to Bad for you Baby?
There's supposed to be another Blues album before he goes Celtic Rock. I prefer his Blues stuff.

Funny I just logged on to ask the same question!

Who says There's supposed to be another Blues album before he goes Celtic Rock ???
...What he's going to squeeze himself into a leather boiler suit and have his hair permed into a poodle and prance around the stage with a Hamer guitar and a leather coat?..............................Or try and be Thin Lizzy in one person?

Gary is of an age like the rest of us over 50s where he can do whatever he likes anyway...
Including being "more and more like a fat old disgruntled man." as someone said on a GM forum
... He's also an Aries so will get fat and do whatever he likes!

Please broaden your ideas of what 'Gary and Rock' means...this is 2010. He will not do another 'Monstrosities of Rock' return if he is thinking straight. Nor will he go 'Back to the Wild Frontier' - Hopefully.
Gary Moore doing 'Rock' as I see it is the same as Gary Moore doing 'Blues'. Boundaries will be blurred as they were with his blues rock and his rock blues.
Gary is the consummate musician. Please don't ask him to pigeon-hole himself.
In Gary's music at any point in his career you will hear influences of blues, rock, jazz, classical, prog, metal, house, trance, whatever and wherever in the musical universe his wandering artistic soul takes him.
OK he's selling stuff and has contracts to fulfil - always the hardest part for a true artist. But don't keep on about the 'ROCK' thing, you may be disappointed about what Gary's idea of rock is in 2010, because I'll bet you he'll be streets ahead!

Somebody tell Gary to cross the pond . We're havin' major withdrawls since all he seems to play is the UK and Europe. Is it true or folklore that Gary hates to fly? We'll pay for a cruise for he and the band to get here. I have started a campain for the next and final G3 Tour. I say final because there would be no reason after this mold breaking line up...Terry Robb, Joe Bonamassa and mister blister..Gary Moore. That would be a HOT ticket...Period!

I don't think bonamassa has a very good relationship with moore nowadays... i'm just speculating, but i think that.

I forgot to ask Joe his status w/ Gary. Did'nt know there was bad blood. You would think Gary might be ABIT humbled having a LP named after him in Joe's vast fleet. We relied on various Gary Moore on our 4 show roadie w/ Joe last month. Mostly Live Essential Montreux. "Bad for you Baby" has been a steady staple since it came out. I gave a copy to Terry Robb when his electric band opened for Lemmy's band/supergroup Head Cat at Dante's in Portland. I've been friends w/ him for years. He was stoked and broke into a couple Gary/Peter Green stories. He said he'd crank it on the way to a casino gig he had the next night. I said you can have it only if you turn it on to the rest of the band. His 2nd guitarist Adam Scramstad is a huge Gary fan. Murfdog and I got Adam and Terry's manager to the Eugene show. Post show & smiling, he went home to Corvallis and played for 2 hours. The next day, Terry's manager was at the Portland show and the MnG w/ us. Happy newbies. We gave Joe Terry's "Resting Place" in Eugene for now,as his new ELECTRIC album is due out any time. We told Joe, we would be sending a copy soon.

As for the second part of your question, I don't know. I hope not.  cool

Re: Gary Moore @ Charlotte Street Blues 6th April 2010

Gary showed up at Charlotte St on Monday and sat in with my friends band. He then proceeded to try and chat up my friends girlfriend using the "do you know who i am?" line. Nice.

Hahaha - I bet most youngsters wouldn't know who Gary Moore is or what he looked like!! - Re a previous question, I shoulda said latest album, Bad for you Baby - I haven't got the album, but as I said before, am still looking forward to seeing Gary in the intimate venue that is Charlotte Street Blues bar - as others have said, his material is a bit hit and miss, but he's still a legend in my view. A bit like Jimmy Page. His solo material is a bit hit and miss too, but still a legend and if he played a venue like CSB, I'd be keen to be there. Funnilly enough, I saw Pagey in Oxfam book shop in Marylebone HighStreet about two years ago and I said to the long haired young guy on the cash desk "do you know who that is, Jimmy Page" - "never heard of him" was his reply - just shows you what the generation gap can be like................

It is well known Gary Moore can be moody. But that 15 minute solo (I'm not exaggerating) was not the same licks all over. Far from it. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever heard on an electric guitar. Honest. Although different in style, I think only our JB can touch Gary Moore.

And just touch it. Years and experience separate them a lot.

I don't think that can be true as Joe plays Gary on his Planet Rock show from time to time and says complimentary things about his playing. When Gary had a blues show on Planet Rock before Joe joined it was noticeable that he never played anything by Joe, however.

Eldo, you need to expand your library.  hmm  Bad For You Baby is one of Gary's finest Blues Rock works. It's full of great riffs and hooks and if he plays stuff off that on Tuesday, I'll be more than happy.

I have heard Joe say that he has been let down when meeting a lot of his heroes. Well obviously not BB, looked like him and Clapton were on good terms at RAH...

anyone know who JB was referring to?

I beg to differ here with all due respect. Joe is far more diverse (song material, playing technique, and tone). If I had to pick one only, it'd be a tough choice but it'd definitely be Joe.

If we talk about song material, moore has travelled through every music style, from heavy metal to fussion. I think he has songs like Story Of The Blues, Still Got The Blues, Separate Ways (just to name some examples) that are far more sentimental than joe's stuff.

About playing technique, moore has far more vibrato, sustain, agressiveness, and melodic solos than joe. You just have to check the live version of parisienne walkways, story of the blues (both from Blues Alive), always there for you (montreux 97), the messiah will come again (montreux 90), the studio version of still got the blues, or the live versions from sweden of the loner and empty rooms. And, as i said before,  i'm just naming a few examples. Focus on empty rooms... that solo could only be performed by other guitar players in their dreams.

About tone, i could agree with you because gary has been playing with a shitty tone for the last 13 years. But the soldano and bluesbreaker+guv'nor pedal sound is from other planet.

Re: Gary Moore @ Charlotte Street Blues 6th April 2010

Pete, I'm picking up my tickets at CSB. I've just seen that this gig is now sold out. The surprise is that it took so long. I suspect that's due to the low key publicity for this one off very special event.

Due to Gary not being as popular as I had anticipated,  lol I'm still left with 4 spare tickets. So if anyone would still like to go, let me know asap.

I believe the roll call is so far:

Pete
Currymandavid
eldo
Jessicat
yours truly

Anyone else fancy this very special gig? Michael?

PS Joe thinks Gary is hot too. http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/ … 10#content

Happy birthday gary!!

Re: Gary Moore @ Charlotte Street Blues 6th April 2010

I got two tickets a couple of days ago. To be picked up at CSB.
Surprised that it was not already sold out. The only places I've seen it advertised are on the CSB website
and by way of this forum.

Thanks for that Phil.
