Topic: Output jack problem...please help!

My output jack on my 335 type guitar ( nice and easy then roll ) was loose and then my amp started crackling so i got the jack out  (after several hours  big_smile ) and saw that the ground wire had come off. I then reattached the ground wire and tested the jack. The crackling noise is still there. Help!  yikes  sad

Does it happen with any other guitars or with a different cable. It if does do you have a tube amp? Maybe you need new power tubes?

If all else fails I would go back and check all the grounds in the 335.

Make sure the socket is clean, all contact points should be shiny. Use light sandpaper or a nail file and scratch the surface a bit for better contact.
