Topic: JoeB LP #061 has landed

Well well well my my.... after much searching I just recieved 061 JoeB. I have it for a three day approval so far 12 hours with it and it is an impressive instrument. Its my fourth LP already have two 58 Historics and a 50th 59 historic. They all have their own voice and personality thats a given. The JoeB LP has a very distinctive tone about it to say the least Im extremely impressed! I never got the relic thing while they are tools guitars are also things of beauty as well. I must say in this case the aged look works and is very cool not overdone gives it a good vibe. Didnt get it till last night so today Im gonna get to do some more cranking.

As far as the setup I do all my own work on all my guitars and I was surprised the setup was perfect out of the box for me and thats rare, this is the first I didnt have to dial something in to my taste. The neck the weight just barely over 8lbs and playability is perfect for me and Im rather picky  I also did some A & Bing with my other LP's and this guitar has just beautiful palette of tones to it and I just scratched the surface. What amazes me so far Im getting some tones out of this one I dont get with my other LP's which is all good variety is the spice of life. So to Joe this is a fantastic instrument Monday is decision day............ big_smile Or maybe payment day?????????? lol Ill get some pix up later.

Enjoy it Mark. The story goes that these guitars are modeled after a Gold Top that Joe's dad had in his music store years ago. Joe wanted them to be played hence the "distressed" finish so none of us would be afraid of putting the inadvertant scratch or ding on them. You got a light one. Mine goes a couple of ounces over 9 lbs. Isn't that tone wonderful?

Major Tom to ground control...
