She's comin' to the Bluesfestival at Peer in july.
Just listened to this interview. Kind of bums me out to hear people like her label discouraging her from doing blues. One of my favorite things about her as an artist is her versatility and it's depressing to think she is being constrained artistically.

Wow, that was quite the interview and reveals all that she was telling us last fall. I also hope they don't keep constraining her. We just saw her last night in Harrisburg and she told everyone she had been having a hard time the past few days. She has so many ups and downs and is so open about everything you can't help but love her and worry over her. I think she did enjoy the crowd last night though, since she tweeted today that the positive energy last night gave her the pick me up she needed. The manic depression she suffers from is just a constant struggle for her. Thank god she has Scott to be there for her and give her the unconditional love and support she so desperately needs all the time. Here are some of the songs from last night.

Natasha, you are right on. The previous night in Pittsburgh I was really concerned about her. She put on a terrific show, don't get me wrong. But first, the stage backing lights had to be turned off because they were overheating, and she was really ticked and kept apologizing to the crowd, that we were not getting what we deserved, and said she was really ticked at the venue. Then someone yelled there was too much bass, and she asked the audience how the sound was, if the band was too loud, and if we needed more vocals (a huge roar went up then!)... but that upset her. Then after the main set some people got up and left (as is usual) and when she came back for the encore seemed really bummed and said Well, I guess this doesn't do it for everybody, but you could see it really bothered her. Then the second she played her last note, Scott came on stage and practically whisked her off the piano bench and had his arms around her the whole way walking off stage...I have never seen that before. Then a number of us hung around outside waiting for her to come out, and when she finally appeared, Scott said Autographs only, no pictures, etc. She and I had a nice conversation about a gift I had given her last time in town, but then as she went on to others she was almost like a robot signing autographs and making her way pretty quickly through the crowd.
The poor thing, she is so delicate and I'm fearful she tries to do way too much. She used to allow at least a day or 2 between road shows but it seems that isn't holding any more. Wish we could help her out in some tangible way. Just have to keep the prayers going up for her.
On a lighter note, there was one couple there who drove 14 hours from Minnesota to get a chance to meet her. That's loyalty!

Especially when she's so damn good at the blues!

Amen.
I can hardly get over all the U.S. tour dates. Saw her earlier in the year in San Fran. Now have shows coming up in Santa Cruz and Napa. Unbelievable. All in one year. I guess waiting years for a show is finally over.
This is a fun and recent interview from Romania...

Beth Hart will be performing at this year's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, Sunday October 4th, 2015 in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. http://www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com/2015/
She will be on the Towers Of Gold Stage, and just MAY, just maybe, be streamed LIVE. You might want to check and see!
I will be there. This 3 day festival is FREE and attendance is H--U-G-E. This will certainly be great exposure for Beth & the Band, and here's wishing her & they a great performance.

Got tix for her down here at Belly Up. Can't wait.
She is going to do less gigs in future :
I saw Beth last night in Sacramento.....great show......she has incredible energy that she shares with the whole audience....she commented about the venue (Crest Theater) being the best sounding building that they had played on their current tour....for those of you going on the BonaCruise in Feb, you will definitely be thoroughly entertained by Beth and her band.....she appears to enjoy entertaining as much as I enjoy watching her entertain...

Well, what do you know?! Beth Hart was streamed live at The 2015 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco! You can watch her performance (anytime, all year, not going to be pulled down anytime) here:

...just go down to the orange BAND banner and click on her name (3rd one down), then on her picture! As far as her performance, I'll let you review for yourselves, but I thought she & the band did a great job. Glad I was there!

I along with a few of the local chapter of the BonaSpuds went to the Belly Up last night to see Beth's show.
Wow! In great form with a super attitude. She said she's off her traditional meds and on homeopathics for the last two months and says she feels great.
Fantastic show with her at her best. Bawdy, rollicking, feeling it deep on some songs, with the crowd in the palm of her hand. Superb!
