Philip is back in the studio this month recording his new CD with the legendary Kenny Aronoff on drums again. I was able to see Philip and Joe jam together last Nov in LA. I am lucky to have a DVD of that event. Hope that Philip tours next year so that people everywhere will get a chance to see this amazing player.

I seen that clip of Joe and Phillip jamming! I loved hearing Joe play on that Fender Super. Wish he would play on that style amp more often! What was the name of that one song? Was it Champaign and Reefer? It was very good I must say.

Re: Philip Sayce

I saw Philip Sayce recently at Dingwalls Camden London with my friends from the band Voodoo Six.
What a player!!!!!! Great crowd , a real gent , came over to my table pre gig and chatted and signed my copy of Peace Machine.
I believe most of that gig is on youtube , type in the search Philip Sayce Dingwalls.
Here's the link for some amateur photo's.  He is back here in UK in May2010 with his new cd to tour.

Thanks for the dates, Roger. See you at the 100 Club, if not before. big_smile If Philip's anywhere near as hot (literally lol) as he was at Dingwalls we're all in for a treat in May. May's definitely going to be one hell of a month for fantastic gigs. wink

I've just been wandering around Amazon and came across this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI … ROKL5A1OLE

Needless to say it went straight into my basket.  £8.99 for a limited edition of Philip's new CD + DVD sounds like a bargain to me and not to be missed. big_smile

Re: Philip Sayce

I recorded his Rockpalastshow on DVD some weeks ago, like I did with the JoeRockpalastshow almost 5 years ago. They released Joe'show on DVD one year later but the TVshows are with interviews!
Very good show, like Joe said:great player!

Here's a link to the Rockpalast side and Philip Sayce's Crossroads gig from October 2009:

Couldn't make it last year to a gig and it seems to be the same this year.
But sooner or later I'll see him live.

Re: Philip Sayce

Sorry to irritate, but I’ve been sent a promo of Sayce’s new album ‘Innerevolution’ and it is a very impressive release. Sayce has co-written some of the songs with Richard Marx and it has really helped make this a powerful yet song focussed album. From the opening drum rolls and melodic guitar into to Changes this is a quality album, Sayce’s vocals sounding better than ever too. Scars keeps to a Hendrix style feel before a piano led ballad Take You Away. The heavy rock of Daydream Tonight will certainly wake you from any daydreams! Only on second listen, but it sounds really good.

Make sure you catch Philip Sayce on tour with Stefan Schill in May

I will certainly be getting "Innerevolution" and am looking forward to Philip's gig at King Tuts.

Bob Harris announced last night (after playing Alchemy) that he has Philip Sayce in session on his 1st May show (and he has Joe back in session in early June).

Re: Philip Sayce

I received the album yesterday!! Love it. Brilliant playing, songwriting and vocals.  I booked tickets to see him in London without hearing any cd's of his.  Really pleased I did.  £8.99 for the cd and £12 for tickets to see him!! BARGAIN!!

I think I know a little better what you guys say about Joe's tone. in this it looks like to me he is using one of Phil's guitars, he changes some things on the amp thing and makes it sound Joe. its in the hands.

You're absolutely right Jane. Philip's a friend and I own the beat up strat that Joe was playing in the clips.
No matter what I play I don't sound like Philip or Joe.
Of course not being nearly as talented as either player could have something to do with it..lol
