Re: Paul Rodgers

Hi Roger,

What is especially cool about Joe's fans being global, is strings have come in for the same artists via of different states in the USA and Europe. I know Kenny Wayne Shepherd's strings came in via California and Maryland.  There is a woman in California, Lynn Ring, who is a big fan of the SFAC Foundation. She is a big Joe fan from the early days and her favorite band is Aerosmith.  I think her friend is married to one of the KISS dudes, so she has helped immensely, I think she got the first set of Paul Rodgers strings.

As always, Roger,  a HUGE THANKS for your support!!  smile

If they do, I hope they come to your city.  They put on a great show.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but Bad Co. has a song called "Oh Atlanta"
Kind of nice to play before  a falcons game smile

Yes AGREED!!  I remember Joe having a list of his favorite vocalists and the mention of Paul Rodgers. I loved to hear them perform, talk about a dream turning into reality for Joe.

And for any Paul Rodgers fans, there are a couple of pieces in inventory here and some available for custom pieces. Just FYI.  smile

And RiverCat ~ I tried to send you an e-mail but it came back to me, StringsforaCURE has some of Eric Czars strings, nothing designed yet. (know you are a big fan-just being a messenger)  wink

I agree too.

Thank you so much Angela for thinking of me regarding the strings from Eric Czar and passing along the information.
Yes I would be interested and I'll be in touch.  You are such a KIND-HEARTED person and it's wonderful what you are doing.  It would be a nice show piece when I tell people about Eric.  And what girl doesn't love jewelry wink
Thank you for your always enlightening posts.

I also later on would be interested in some Paul Rodgers strings too.  Since he is my #1.
I don't know if it would be possible, but I would kind of like to see if it could be a necklace with the crystals of
"Silver, Blue and Gold" since that would also remind me of Bad Co.  It would make the necklace extra special.
It's a special song.

I am posting something I came across that I thoroughly enjoyed.  Normally, I would post Mr. Rodgers. But it's nice to hear somebody do a tribute to the person you like.  I think he really tries to capture how Paul sings this song with feeling.  I'll take some of the milk he is drinking.  Love his rocker face at 3:04 ha ha.

Edit to add:  This different version of "Silver, Blue and Gold"
I really like this too and what he did with it.  It's nice hearing it on an acoustic guitar and his singing style is more of a reflective tone.  Nice to see it done a different way.  Well done, sir.  just needs a little better recording equipment.

Yes, Angela

Roger hit the nail on the head.  And it was historic and the great part is it will be on the DVD release so that those of us that weren't there like Roger can witness it and enjoy.

Here's some more Paul Rodgers news.  This would be a great event to go to and you can get a meet and greet ticket and Bid for a songwriting session with Paul Rodgers!  How cool would that be if the song ended up on his next album.

See the former Free man in Chichester next month

Rodger will play at The Venue in Chichester on 3 December to raise money for the Racehorse Sanctuary Re-Homing Centre and Rocking Horse Children's Charity

Also performing will be Deborah Bonham, Steve Rodgers and Jasmine Rodgers.

The charity rescues ex racehorses, re-homes the ones it can and supports the others to live out the rest of their days in a caring, calm environment, giving these animals the respect they deserve after having been specifically bred for mankind's entertainment and gains. Many of these horses would have been sent off to slaughter or shot. Both Paul and his wife Cynthia are Patrons of the charity.

Rodgers commented: "I am deeply moved by the commitment and sacrifice of these beautiful, noble creatures and to their lives on the other side of the finish line. Involving young, autistic and inner city kids is brilliant and helps encourage a healthier next generation."

The evening will also include a silent auction of music memorabilia and a live auction with the main item being a songwriting session with Rodgers.

Tickets are £25 standing, £40 seating and there's a £50 ticket for a ticket and meet & greet with Paul.

I wish I could go to the show on Dec. 3

I love to see Paul and Deborah Bonham sing together.  I think there voices and singing style blend very well.
If you talk to Paul, can you ask him a question for me?  I got tons, but can you ask him if maybe he and Deborah might record a duet together?  I would really like to see that happen.

Thanks  smile

If I could have been there I would have been. Was it a full band gig Roger or was Paul on his own with guests?

PAUL RODGERS CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY WITH RELEASE
OF NEW SONG "WITH OUR LOVE"
One Hundred Percent of The Proceeds Will Be Directed To
The Racehorse Sanctuary & Rocking Horse Children's
Charity and Seraphim 12 Foundation
Paul Rodgers has released a new studio recording that is available exclusively on-line via CD Baby, and all other digital retailers.  The song "With Our Love" has been shared with fans and the public on his 62nd birthday, with one hundred percent of the proceeds earmarked for the charities The Racehorse Sanctuary & Rocking Horse Children's Charity and Seraphim 12 Foundation.  The composition was co-written and performed by Perry Margouleff, whose friendship with Rodgers dates back to over twenty years ago when they met in the U.K. while Margouleff was performing with The Pretty Things.  They have collaborated over the years.

All of these charities are organizations Rodgers has offered significant support to in the past, in fact he is a Patron of one while Perry Margouleff is a Senior Board Member of the other.  Rodgers shared, "Horses are such a powerful part of human development and have been since the early ages. We humans owe them so much.  My wife Cynthia and I have visited both sanctuaries and can't imagine any of these healthy vibrant beings being sent off to die.  Especially Seraphim 12's 'Daisy,' who was to be slaughtered for human consumption at four months of age! Or ex-racehorse 'Mr. Streaky,' who due to human error developed anxiety and fear issues which now after eight years he is finally starting to overcome, and in doing so is helping the autistic and inner city kids who visit the sanctuary. Blues great Willie Dixon believed that 'Once we know better we can do better'...so now that we know better, let's do better."
