Topic: Eleven Rack

Hey guys,

I was wondering whether any of you guys have ever tried the Avid/Digidesign Eleven Rack?
What are your experiences with it?
I just got it and i'm loving it sofar. Great alternative for people who can't crank open a valve amp but want good (valve) tone big_smile

Re: Eleven Rack

Glad eleven rack is working for you. I toyed with the idea but have just got guitar rig 4 for practice and some recording. I was hinking about either eleven rack or axe fx through a powered monitor but then tried the new marshall class 5 with my OCD pedal. I have just sold my blackstar HT-5 and am going to get a marshall class 5 on monday hopefully. Lovin guitar rig 4 though, especially the billy gibbons pre set. Can't help but go for that and play sharp dressed man. It brings a smile to my face everytime!

Re: Eleven Rack

thats cool!  i haven't tried the eleven yet, but I do have a pod.  It is fun to play around with, but you miss out on the interaction between the speakers and pickups (if your using headphones or direct recording).  For me, that is a huge part of my tone.

I too want a class 5.  If only Korg USA would stop screwing around and deliver the goods.  Not to change the topic of the thread, but how did you like it with the OCD fuzzblues?

lately I have been playing a fender super champ xd which does the cranked blackface thing well but struggled with the bonamassa type tones I was after. I hooked up the class 5 with everything set at 5 except the volume which was at 2. The OCD had all knobs at noon and HP mode selected. I plugged in a les paul and was getting great tones from it. I cranked the drive a little on the OCD and back the volume off a tough. This gave a great crunchy rythm tone on the bridge pickup and sounded even better once the tone control on the guitar was rolled back to about 7. I then tried it with a strat. Same OCD settings but flicked to LP mode. Strat neck pickup selected and instant hendrix!

I now need to get some sort of reverb for this thing. I gues I listen to too many neil young records and can't figure out a guitar sound without reverb.
