2009 Gibson Les Paul
Speaking of which...
HAHA That second video is priceless! Looks like some people need some lessons from Paul Stanley!
heck even i was better than that when i started playing guitar. commenting on the 2nd vid.
as for that nascar driver destroying a les paul, what a waste. should've gave him an epi.

1)Nascar jerk...next time it'll be his car hopefully.
2)Are those videos still going about...because they are fake.
I dropped my Strat on a concrete slab and even though it took off a big peice of paint it still rocks. For further examples of how tough Strat are refer to SRV Live At Elmocambo.
Jerks. That was staged. and I'd do a number on the Busch leaguer's "awesome race car" Yeah, on the engine. and oh yeah, the driver's seat too...
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
I don't know who they think they are, smashing a perfectly good guitar ...
Grumble grumble growl snort snap
Yes, I can construct a guillotine out of a Telecaster and used strings...
Something tells me if that was real, the guy wouldn't really be all that pissed about the loss of a first act guitar when he clearly is loaded. That's a huge house, some expensive cars and a lot of land. A couple of hundred dollar first act won't be a loss.

I was thinking the same thing. The parallel hits are just for show, the break comes from the perpendicular hit!
as for vid 2--check out the vehicles. my guess is staged too. wonder if there is a dumble in the house--could have destroyed that too. the nascar vid--those gibson custom shop guys should have a bounty on him for that
You know not only was that guitar a Gibson, but it was hand painted by the Artist Sam Bush and was valued at least at $20,000. He claimed he busted it up so his crew could take a piece with them... BTW he ordered another one. If you look hard the artist is in one of the videos of this and you can see him flench.
Ahhh, as Joe said in his clinic: He'd rather give a guitar to a deserving fan, than to smash it up...
