Asking Around For You

There was a very good turnout for Joe’s return to Minneapolis. I was talking to Joe’s sound guy (Donnie?) after Tuesday’s show at the Oneida Casino about The Cabooze and he said that there was between 550 and 600 people in attendance that night.

The show was fantastic, of course. Joe seemed to be in great spirits and the crowd was really into it as well. I found out later that Bogie was a little under the weather. You wouldn’t have known it except for the fact that he didn’t play a drum solo. “Woke Up Dreaming” was extraordinary, probably the best rendition I’ve ever heard. Overall, the show seemed to have a harder edge to it than other shows I’ve seen. Maybe it was the venue that made it feel that way.

I did manage to take a few photos. I should have them posted soon.

I also noticed that someone was taping the show. In fact, there may have been more than one taper present. Hopefully we’ll see it out there in the near future.

Thanks to Joe, Mark, and Bogie for a memorable night.
