Topic: USE OF A BB 62 COMBO NEED SOME INFORMATION

I intend to buy soon a marshall BB 62 combo but I have some doubts about the real use of such an amp .Actually, all the

forums give a dull and negative  description of its use for it proves to be loud and diificult to tame

so is it the right choice to do? NO OTHER AMP SIMILAR TO THE BB 62?
A

And how manage joe to use it without being annoyed anD get such a beautiful tone?

Re: USE OF A BB 62 COMBO NEED SOME INFORMATION

Alan, I found your posting kind of weird... hmm
You are interested in a Marshall BB.
Why are you if all forums tell how crappy that amp is??
Why don't you go and try that beast if its good for your needs?
What kind of music are you playing?

I can tell you that this amp is absoulety honest, means $hit in = $hit out.
Seldom I heard such a dynamic on a tube amp. No mastervol, no fx loop,
no bells and whistles just pure tone, tone, tone...
Yes the amp is loud before you get this mild crunch but it loves OD pedals
of any kind. I highly recommend it if you look for a good blues tone.
I once had a '89 Bluesbreaker which I stupidly sold..
Joe of course cranked it up for a nice crunch.
But as we all know its Joes fingers that help for that beautyful tones. wink

Good luck
Alex

Re: USE OF A BB 62 COMBO NEED SOME INFORMATION

I too had a '95 BB re-issue- fantastic amp- wind it up to around half way & the crunch tones of doom were there... just the weight got me in the end (I have slipped disc in my back)... I recall Joe using or hiring one of these for the Rockpalast DVD show, now I defy ANYONE to argue with THAT tone... go on I double dare ya...! ;-)

This don't look like no express way to me...
